Sometimes it feels like there is little you can do. Our aim is to try and show everyone there is always something we can do. Even those little things, add up quickly when we are in it together.
We have a choice as rational thinking beings of free will, to take part in a world in which we positively create. There are many ways to intentionally create and contribute to society, this is my ask, for you to take the power that you have and contribute.
One of the perks of your Amazon Prime subscription is that, every 30 days, you can
subscribe for free to a Twitch account (essentially a coupon or token), a perk worth around $3.00 that takes you 15 seconds to use. This can add up to $36 a year from 3 minutes of effort that YOU can give for free. I then take that money given to me to give to others. Every time I make a donation that donation is published on our Facebook page.
Join the cause by
subscribing to ButLovingston’s Twitch channel, and watch as your subscriptions
transform into impactful charity donations.
Let’s make the world a better place, intentionally, and together.
All affiliate earnings will be donated to
C.A.R.E.S.
C.A.R.E.S. is a no kill shelter located in Langley BC.
I have volunteered there and the people really CARE about the cats, rehabilitating and finding loving homes. During my time with the shelter I got to meet and know some cool ladies who have shown me how we can show up with compassion in different ways. I got to meet some pretty cool cats with tons of personality and maybe broke my heart a little I couldn’t take them all home.
First Nations Youth Program
We are supporting a First Nations Youth Program, an Indigenous youth leadership program established in 2015 that is now hosted in six communities. The Program weaves traditional and mainstream leadership and wellness teachings and practices together on the land to build capability, cultural pride and confidence in young men.
Typically, the program meet one night per week in community, and one weekend per month on the land in remote parts of their territory. On weeknights youth learn a variety of skills and provide support to Elders and community members with yard work around their homes and wherever else they may be needed. Weekend training not only provides the young men with opportunities to apply the traditional knowledge and survival skills that they have learned on weeknights, but also to nurture their ability to lead small teams of younger men.
I have been a small part of one or two projects through this program. I have also had the chance to see some of these young men grow up to be impressive leaders within their communities.

Initial setup should be a few minutes, if that, and to re-subscribe should take about 15 seconds. You can come back to the website here and click on the links above or click here, click on the box beside the blue crown, click subscribe, it should be free, and you are done for the next 30 days! If you have any questions please send me a message, just because the instructions are clear for me doesn’t mean they are for you.
No. I have no way to know who has subscribed to me unless you tell me. The only thing I know is that an account subscribed to me, that is it. All your account information is the same as it was with Amazon. The account you have or make with twitch is with twitch. So please do let me know what your username is and some way I can contact you to subscribe again.
No. You should not be using your credit card as any part of the intended process. If you want to give me your money I will not say no, but if you want to take part of the true intention of this project, it is meant not to cost you any money, as it is about using what is available to us without spending money. Or, anymore money.
Well, first, because it is hilarious, then there are multiple other reasons. How we make excuses and exceptions “I would partake, but I have so many things to do!” or “I am already participating in my community, but this seems like another great opportunity for impact”. We may be scared for our future, or concerned, but we what if take the steps to make it better together? I’d like to take that chance. Choose the but that moves you forward, not the but that gives you an excuse.
The charities supported thus far have been ones I have had some personal involvement in. With greater community involvement I would love to determine a democratically based funding model, or a lottery from a curated pool of charities.
I do aim to fundraise, but the intention is to utilize the resources we already have available to us. Hopefully, we can all find ways we can contribute that have a positive effect. As this is the literal embodiment of exchanging effort for impact I am trying to do this, we can then see how much impact we can have in small ways that add up very quickly. If you insist on giving me money I will take it and it will go to the charities supported, but it is less work to just donate to the charities listed here directly, and you can probably get a refund that way.
